Hello readers! Hope your week has been a positive one.
For many of us, this past week was when our children returned to school after winter break. This means the vacation is over and it's back to your normal routine. I was extremely excited for my 3 year old to return to preschool, even though it is just a few mornings a week. He loves routine and enjoys school-- even he was happy to get back into the swing of things.
I really tried to start the week off on the right foot. I had everyone's clothing laid out for the next day. I knew exactly what I was going to do for breakfast and even had my son's share item for class packed and ready to go the night before! After a very smooth morning, I dropped my son off at school and finally took my second child to her first story hour! She loved it. She clapped and smiled throughout the class. I had been feeling a little guilty because I took my first child to every class imaginable. The second child, as many of you know, do not always get those opportunities. It was so nice to spend some extra time, just with her. I didn't take a second for granted.
The rest of the week, I worked really hard to stay organized. My days flow so smoothly, when I am prepared (as you know, there are always some unexpected bumps in the road each week). Not only do I enjoyed a calm morning---my children love it too. When there is less hustle and bustle, especially in the morning, my kiddos seem much happier! For as long as it can last, I am going to try to begin each week with calmness. I am going to be prepared, ahead of time and put my best foot forward.
Enjoy issue #123 and have a lovely weekend!
