Hello all! I hope that many of you were able to get outside this week, especially those on the east coast, and enjoy the spring weather. On Monday, my son and I were outside all day---I mean all day! We blew bubbles in the front yard, played with his toys in the driveway, ran around in the grass, and took a family walk at the end of the day. At the end of our walk (7:00 pm) I had to drag my son inside--he did not want the day to end. When I finally got him in the bath, I noticed he had dirt under his nails and had a little mud in his hair...seeing that dirt made me realize how much fun he had!
On our walk, all the neighborhood kids were outside playing. It was so nice to walk past several homes with groups of kids playing in the front yard. It made me think about when I was young and my mom would tell us to come home when the street lights came on. Although that was many years ago, I can remember it like it was yesterday. Wonderful memories!
With all of this said, I encourage you to get outside, put the cellphones down, get a little dirty, and make wonderful memories with your kiddos! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy issue #28!
