Hello readers! TGIF!!!

Well, I have started to exercise again...I had my second baby a little over 3 months ago. I had a planned c-section. I wanted to wait a little longer than permitted to start working out, just to be safe (and I was too exhausted to even think about it before 3 months--ha!) I went back to my heated power yoga class last week. I plan to go twice a week. I was super nervous stepping back into class. My instructor, who happens to be a close friend, welcomed me back in front of the group--which was super sweet!

And then the class started...it honestly kicked my butt. I was sweaty and during some parts of the class I had to take child's pose (which for those of you that don't know yoga, it's basically the pose you can rest in). After the hour class was over, I had mixed emotions. I was happy I survived the class, proud of myself for taking a hour to myself, thankful for my husband who was holding down the fort, and a little frustrated when I noticed I struggled during some of the poses. At the end of the day, I have a long way to go but I am not going to let that get me down! As mama's, we can be hard on ourselves---especially about recovery and our bodies after childbirth. I need to keep in mind that a LOT has happened in the last 3 months, not only physically but emotionally too. I will continue to show up to yoga and do my best! I will enjoy the hour and give myself a break. :)
